Check Baggage Policy
The All Nippon Airways (ANA) Baggage Policy ensures you are well informed and prepared for every step of your journey, from packing to your final destination. These guidelines cater to factors such as ticket type, chosen cabin class, and your loyalty status with ANA.
For detailed information on the baggage allowance, check the ANA Seat Types & Allowances.
Your checked baggage allowance depends on your travel class and route. Here's a breakdown of ANA baggage policy:
International Flights: Baggage allowances for different travel classes are as follows:
You may incur additional charges if your baggage exceeds the free baggage allowance. These charges vary depending on your itinerary and route.
Domestic Flights: Excess baggage charges range from 1,500 JPY to 4,500 JPY depending on the weight and route.
International Flights: Charges vary based on regions and the type of excess baggage. For example, extra, overweight, and oversized pieces charges apply.
Due to space limitations on certain routes or aircraft types, your baggage may not get accepted even if it falls within the specified dimensions. Also, certain items such as passports or ID cards, electronic devices, and valuables are not accepted as checked baggage on ANA flights.
Sports equipment is considered a part of your free baggage allowance, and the oversized baggage charge will only apply if the equipment's total linear dimensions are at most 292 cm.
In the rare event of baggage irregularities, please report to ANA immediately upon arrival. If you notice damage after leaving the airport, report it within 7 days of receiving your baggage. ANA cannot be held liable for certain types of damage, so review the All Nippon Airways baggage policy.
