You can check in to your ANA flight using multiple options - you can use the mobile app, visit the official website, or check in at the airport. Make sure you have your booking confirmation number handy when checking in.

If your flight is scheduled to depart 24 hours before your scheduled departure time, you can do an ANA web Check wherever you are from 24 hours up to 75 minutes before departure.

ANA Online Check in Policy - International Flights

ANA web check-in service is made available to passengers who have secured seat reservations and completed the necessary information up to 24 hours before the departure of their international flight.

During this convenient process, passengers can confirm or modify their seat selection and obtain their boarding pass. It should be noted that seat reservations and information updates can be made at any time following the initial flight reservation.

However, it is important to know that this service may not be accessible for certain passengers traveling with infants or on specific routes. The check-in process should also be completed in sequence with the flight segments if the itinerary involves multiple connecting flights.

Key Note:
Starting from June 24th, the online check-in service for domestic flights can be accessed via the Domestic ANA Website. Passengers who have made reservations for domestic flights in conjunction with international tickets should utilize this website for check-in. Please be aware that there may be cases where online check-in is unavailable, and in such instances, check-in is recommended to be completed at the airport counter.

ANA Online Check-In - Procedure

Passengers will receive an email notification for check-in 24 hours before their flight's departure time. For passengers traveling to/from the USA, an additional requirement is to register their immigration information.

Passengers who have previously reserved their seats also have the option to modify their seat selection at this stage, with seat assignments being subject to availability.

Regarding international itineraries that include a connection from a Japan domestic flight, ANA web check-in is only accessible 24 hours before the international flight's departure, even if a check-in reminder email was received 24 hours before the domestic flight.

When embarking on multi-flight journeys, it is crucial to adhere to the order of the flights when performing the check-in process. Passengers can begin by searching for their reservation information and then proceed to reserve their seats on the reservation details screen using their passport or email address.

ANA Check in Policy- Required Passenger Information

For travelers flying to specific countries, including

• Japan
• South Korea
• Mainland China (excluding Hong Kong)
• Taiwan
• India
• United States
• United Kingdom
• Canada

As government regulations mandate, Advance Passenger Information (API) must be collected by ANA. When booking your flights, you will be asked to provide this information, which will be transmitted to the respective government authorities of your destination by ANA.

ANA Check in Policy- Information Collected from Passengers

When traveling on applicable flights, the following information will be requested:

• Full Name (as per your passport)
• Date of Birth (according to the Western calendar)
• Gender
• Redress Number (if applicable)
• The Redress Number is issued by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to safeguard passengers who may face watchlist issues due to name similarities with suspected individuals.
• A Redress Number must be obtained through an application to the Traveler Redress Inquiry Program (TRIP).
• Known Traveler Number (if applicable)
• This number is provided to members of trusted traveler programs such as the Global Entry Program, offering eligibility for TSA Precheck®.
• TSA Precheck® allows expedited airport security screening, including dedicated lanes and streamlined processes.
• Legal U.S. residents may need to provide their Green Card number, Alien (Registration) Number, or USCIS#.

ANA Check in policy - Visa Requirements

Visa requirements vary by destination. Some countries do not require visas, or they may only apply to specific passengers. To determine if a visa is needed for your destination, consult ANA's Airport and City Guides. When entering your visa number, ensure it consists of 8 digits; if it is shorter, add zeros (0) as required.

Passengers Who May Not Be Able to Check in Online

Certain passengers should either check in online 24 to 75 hours before their international flight or visit a check-in counter on the departure date if:

• A visa is required for their journey to the USA.
• They have purchased a ticket without advance seat reservation (e.g., via a travel agency).
• They have reserved a ticket for an ANA Group-operated international flight under another airline's flight number.
• They are traveling with children under 2 who occupy their own seats.

For those unable to reserve seats on the ANA website in advance, seat requests can be made by telephone at least 24 hours before departure, or you can use the Online Check-in on the ANA website after that.

ANA Flight Check in Policy- Passengers Who Cannot Check in Online

Online check-in is not available for passengers on:

• Codeshare flights operated by other airlines.
• Passengers with medical certificates.
• Those with extra seats for bulky baggage or similar reasons. For details. check the ANA Baggage policy.
• Tickets include children under 2 who do not occupy their own seats.

ANA Flight Check in Policy- Eligible Routes for Online Check-In

Online check-in is available for all ANA Group-operated international flights, excluding codeshare flights operated by other airlines. Certain flights, like charter flights, may also be ineligible.

Note:

• Online check-in may not be available in some cases, even if the necessary information has been provided in advance. ANA will notify you via email to complete check-in at the airport.
• In case of system-related issues, online check-in may become unavailable; please check in at the airport.

ANA Check in policy- On Arrival at the Airport

Ensure your printed or mobile boarding pass is with you. Bags should be checked at least 60 minutes before your flight, and your arrival at the boarding gate should be at least 30 minutes before departure.
