Specialized services for children aged 5 to 11 traveling alone on international flights operated by ANA are offered. The ANA Unaccompanied Minor service, or ANA Junior Pilot, ensures that young travelers receive the necessary support from departure to arrival, providing peace of mind to parents and guardians.
The ANA Unaccompanied Minor Policy applies to passengers who meet the following criteria:
Note: Passengers should contact the operating carrier for code-share flights for information on their unaccompanied minor services.
Reservations for the All Nippon Airways unaccompanied minors service can be made via telephone. Please be aware that the ANA website only accepts online applications for this service if the child is accompanied by a person over 12 years old (or over 18 years old for flights to and from Mexico City).
For online reservation of an unaccompanied minor with a person over 12 years of age, go to ANA Reservations.
To ensure a smooth travel experience, All Nippon Airways unaccompanied minor passengers must submit a ‘Consent and Release Form’. This form can be downloaded from ANA’s website www.ana.co.jp/en/in/ and must be completed for outbound and return flights. Additionally, certain countries may have specific requirements for forms or documentation.
Upon arriving at the departure airport, please plan to arrive well in advance and proceed to the ANA check-in counter. ANA staff will provide your child with an All Nippon Airways unaccompanied minors holder, which should be worn until they meet with the parent or guardian. Families can accompany the child to the security checkpoint, although conditions may vary depending on the airport.

For safety reasons, please ensure that mobile phones are turned off completely before boarding.
ANA has a policy in place for kids during the flight, to make their journey comfortable and enjoyable. Passengers are encouraged to contact the cabin crew for assistance.
Upon arrival, ANA requests that the unaccompanied child remain seated until escorted by the cabin crew.
ANA’s staff will escort the child to the arrival lobby upon arrival at the destination airport. The person picking up the child must present identification and sign the release form. Please check with the operating carrier for acceptance conditions for passengers with connecting flights operated by another airline.
\If a child who is 5-11 years old will not be accompanied by a person over 12 years old (or a child who is 5-13 years old and will not be accompanied by a person over 18 years old for flights to and from Mexico City), please ensure that arrangements are made for the child to be escorted to the airport of departure and met at the airport of arrival.
Note:
For connections on the same day and at the same airport using an ANA-operated connecting flight with through check-in available, seats on all flights must be secured.
For flights departing from Japanese airports, the child discount cannot be applied when a child travels as an unaccompanied minor. Adult fare will apply, and applicable fare variations will depend on the country of departure.
