Delta Unaccompanied Minor Policy - Minor Flying Alone

As you prepare your child to fly alone for the journey, talk to them about the travel process and remind them to always stay in the gate area. Ensure your child understands to seek help only from Delta Air Lines representatives. We recommend you pack the following:

Unaccompanied Minor Pick-Up

The Delta Unaccompanied Minor Fee requires a $150 USD/CAD/EUR each way, with CAD and EUR used when departing Canada or Europe. This fee applies to travel within the United States and internationally on nonstop and connecting flights, in addition to the ticketed adult fare.

Delta Airlines Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Required Check-In Documents 

Upon arriving at the airport, please see a Delta Airport Customer Service Agent for information regarding drop-off and pick-up. You'll receive a wristband for your child to wear during the flight, and a package of boarding documents and ID for your child to use throughout their journey. The accompanying adult must provide the following at check-in:

  • Photo ID (license, passport, etc.)
  • Address (as shown on ID)
  • Contact phone number
  • Name, address, and phone number of the adult meeting the unaccompanied minor at their destination

Delta Airlines Minor Policy - Unaccompanied Minor Boarding & Takeoff 

The unaccompanied minor must be taken to the departure gate by a parent or designated accompanying adult who should remain there until the flight has departed.
