• Are travelling at a fare that is available to general public

Every confirmed reservation on the Lufthansa flight that’s cancelled has rights to re-routing, care, compensation, and reimbursement. However, no compensation is applicable if -

• The passenger is informed of the Lufthansa flight cancellation minimum 14 days before the scheduled departure
• The passenger is informed about the cancellation 7-14 days before the scheduled departure, the departing flight leaves within 2 hours before the original departure time, and the passenger arrives within 4 hours after the planned arrival time
• The passenger is informed about the flight cancellation less than 7 days before the scheduled departure, the departing flight leaves within 1 hour before the original departure time, and the passenger arrives within 2 hours after the planned arrival time

Lufthansa Cancellation Policy - Lufthansa Refund

According to the Lufthansa Cancellation Policy, you can cancel your flight booking and avail a refund up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Lufthansa refund policy is dependent on the flight booking and the fare terms under that booking. If you are eligible for a refund on your ticket cancellation, the unutilized fare value, taxes, and the fees associated with your booking will be refunded to your original source of payment.

Lufthansa Cancellation Policy - Rebook After Cancellation

Lufthansa Airlines rebooks your journey automatically and free of extra charge, on an alternative flight to the original destination and class type. In the event Lufthansa is unable to do so, you can choose the alternative flight, subject to terms and conditions.

This alternative flight booking after a Lufthansa cancelled flight must be made within the validity period of the original flight ticket. This validity period is usually one year from the original date of scheduled departure.

Rebook or Cancel a Lufthansa Award Flight

Rebooking or cancelling a Lufthansa Award flight ticket can be done at a charge of €50. This charge may vary depending on your original flight booking.
