Southwest Airlines provides a Southwest Early Check-in facility, called 'Southwest EarlyBird Check-in,' that automatically checks you in 36 hours before the scheduled departure and assigns your boarding position for an additional fee of $15.00 per segment.

  • This Southwest Early check-in service allows you to board earlier than other passengers and gives you a better chance to select your preferred seat, and provides earlier access to the overhead bin for your carry-on luggage
  • You do not need to check in or web checkin on the day of your flight as it gets checked in automatically with EarlyBird Check-In
  • Customers who have purchased Business Select fare tickets do not need to select this option because priority boarding privileges are already included for them
