How to Cancel a Flight Ticket Through Spirit Airlines?

1. Visit the official website at www.spirit.com 
2. On the homepage, select “My Trips'
3. Provide the requested information, such as your last name and the 6-character alphanumeric confirmation code that was sent to you in your confirmation email
4. Click the "Continue" button to access the Reservation Summary page
5. Select the "Cancel Reservation" option to begin the cancellation process
6. On the final page, you'll see the refund amount and any applicable cancellation fees displayed for your review

A Reservation Credit from Spirit Airlines is a 6-digit alphanumeric code provided to you by email upon cancellation of your trip. This code can be used to purchase fares, seats, bags, vacation packages, and pay fees and taxes.  To redeem Your Spirit Airlines Reservation Credit:

1. Visit the official Spirit Airlines website at www.spirit.com and select the desired flight or travel package you wish to purchase
2. Navigate to the payment page, locate the "Apply Reservation Credit" field, enter your 6-digit alphanumeric Reservation Credit confirmation code into the designated box, and click the “Go” button
3. Enter the amount you want to apply towards your reservation, whether full or partial, in the "Amount to Spend" box and click on the "Apply Credit" button to complete the redemption process

Spirit Airlines Refund Policy 2023

Under the Spirit Airlines refund policy, you may be eligible for a complete refund if you want to cancel your flight ticket. The conditions under which you can request a refund are

• If you cancel your flight ticket at least 60 days before the departure date
• If you cancel your flight ticket within 24 hours of booking and at least 7 days before departure
• If your flight is canceled by Spirit Airlines
• If your flight experiences a delay of more than 2 hours, you may be eligible for compensation or a refund
• If your flight is rescheduled and the new itinerary is unsuitable, you may be eligible for a refund or rebook without penalty
• If you are unable to take your flight due to unforeseen circumstances such as serious illness, death, or jury duty, as long as you can provide appropriate documentation

Note: A cancellation fee will apply in all other cases, and the fee amount will depend on the time of cancellation as per the Spirit Airlines refund policy.

Spirit Airlines Cancellation Due to Weather

If your Spirit Airlines flight gets canceled due to severe weather or other reasons beyond the airline's control, you will need to arrange your own accommodations if necessary. Spirit Airlines will assist you with information to secure accommodations on your own, but you will be responsible for the cost. 

If your onward journey is no longer needed due to the weather cancellation, you may qualify for a Reservation Credit that can be redeemed for future travel.

Important Points:

• The personal details used during the Reservation Credit redemption process must match those provided during the cancellation
• If the required amount for your reservation is greater than the Reservation Credit value, you will need to pay the additional amount using your preferred payment method
• Reservation Credits can be used multiple times until the full value is exhausted
• Reservation Credits can be applied towards purchasing tickets, seats, baggage, vacation packages, taxes, and fees
• Reservation Credits must be redeemed for travel within 90 days of the issue date
